With Close Combat: Gateway to Caen you can play in the strategic and tactical level, getting in the boots of both general and platoon commanders. You can move or combine your battle groups at the strategic level and decide the outcome of the battles at the tactical level. You are in command of squads in close combat situations, small arms, mortars, machine guns, armored cars and tanks against the enemy to succeed. You command artillery and mortar and even airstrikes.
