Description



Broken Sword is an adventure game series created by game designer Charles Cecil of Revolution Software. The series revolves around the adventures of George Stobbart and Nicole Collard in fictional stories based on history and mythology. The first two games were based on the classic point and click interface graphs on handmade which makes it very special, while the last two installments were in 3D. 
Broken Sword: Shadow Of The Templars 
The first game in the series was published in 1996 by Virgin Interactive and Revolution Software. The story begins with the presentation of George Stobbart, an American tourist who sees your Paris vacation abruptly interrupted by an explosion in a cafe. Thereafter, the protagonist, in the company of a journalist named Nicole Collard, begin an investigation hidden conspiracies, cults and murder, all revolving around the Knights Templar, which will take them to different locations around the world, including Paris, Ireland, Syria, Spain and Scotland. 

Broken Sword II: The forces of evil 
a story concerned a Mayan god to worship together with a plot about an upcoming eclipse and cause the destruction of the world. To avoid George and Nicole must find three magical stones Mayan forever to lock this god. The game scenarios can be grouped in France (Paris and Marseille) Central London and the Caribbean. 

A new feature in this second part, the player takes control of two characters depending on the scene. Other changes are the inventory position, icons, etc.. The graphics are kept in line with its predecessor, with some modifications to include smoke effects and the like. 

Broken Sword III: The Sleeping Dragon 
The third installment of the adventures of George and Nicole was published in October 2003 by THQ in Europe and The Adventure Company in the United States under the name Broken Sword III: The sleeping Dragon. This time, the game was completely designed in 3D, offering total control over the character in third person. Again, the story focuses on the Knights Templar, leading the protagonists to Glastonbury, Paris, Cairo, Prague and the Congo. 

Unlike his predecessors, in this point and click game is ruled: only handles the keyboard. 

The game was released for PC, Xbox and PlayStation 2, but this latest version could only be found in Europe. 
The development of the story begins when a scientist living in the congo hire the services of lawyer George Stobart, to make a patent for a machine creative energy. Moreover, in Paris, Nicole Collard has an interview scheduled with a computer that has deciphered part of an important manuscript; however, two intruders arrive before the protagonists and kill these people. Following the track of these unknown, George and Nicole independently, try to locate them. 

IV Broken Sword: The Angel of Death 
The August 17, 2005, Revolution Software and THQ announced the fourth installment in the Broken Sword series. It was revealed that George is in love with a mysterious woman who disappears, leading him to discover a new plot that threatens the world. Despite this new love, Nicole continues in the series. Broken Sword 4 returns to be developed with 3D graphics, but the gameplay changes and returns to point and click and in the first two installments. 

Because the PC version of Broken Sword 3 concentrated most sales, the fourth installment is not adapted for video game consoles. The game before its release pointed ways, great graphics, great story, based this time on a very powerful weapon related to the biblical character Moses, and the love relationship between George and Nico. To top it off a major character, the beautiful Anna Maria, which causes more of a situation of jealousy Nicole appears in this latest installment, but above all, has a manuscript with which to find the powerful weapon. This adventure takes George to travel to New York, Istanbul, Rome and Arizona. 

This fourth installment has divided fans of the saga, and that does not include the Spanish dubbing, and therefore have to follow with subtitles in Castilian and voices in VO 

Broken Sword remake: The Director's Cut 
introduces a new and intricate plot, in addition to the classic story that has charmed millions of players. It's time to experience the adventures of George and Nico all over the world in a whole new way, with brand new puzzles, hilarious new jokes, and the distinctive, rich story that made his deserved fame to this saga. It is an adventure game in its purest form. 

Broken Sword 2.5 
After the disappointment that some fans with Broken Sword 3, your 3D environment, and the elimination of point and click took, decided to join in a project called Mindfactory team which would create a game, non-profit, and legally can not take benefit him, returning to the classic 2D gameplay and the first versions. 
This version, developed by German fans, was released on September 28, 2008 in English and German.
